In 2007 the 'Back to Black' Tradition Continues
December 1st 2007 saw the International College of Martial Arts conduct it's second "Back to Black" session. The "Back to Black" tradition sees all black belt holders come together once a year to redo a symbolic black belt grading to reaffirm their commitment to themselves, their training and their art. This year saw participants ranging from shodan to godan complete the arduous 2 hour session.
One bemused inviteee asked "why would you want to recreate one of the most traumatic days in your life?". Our response is, "to celebrate!".
